Chris is currently an instructor in ministry at Harvard Divinity School where he also serves as the denominational counselor to Buddhist students. He has a degree in religion and psychology emphasizing Hindu and Buddhist religions from UC Santa Barbara, and received his Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School.
Chris Berlin has taught yogic and Buddhist meditation practices for many years and is also a spiritual counselor dedicated to helping others incorporate a greater sense of well-being and self-awareness into their lives. He has worked as a full-time chaplain at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston where he received extensive experience teaching meditation to cancer patients, clinicians, and to those in end-of-life care.
He feels that anyone can learn to meditate. Once we experience the inherently peaceful nature of mind underlying the thoughts and distractions we often identify with, we have a deeper understanding of who we are.
He has studied and practiced meditation in the yoga, Vipassana, and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, and enjoys practicing yoga regularly. Chris is also available for private, one-on-one counseling.
