Emily started practicing yoga ten years ago as an attempt to manage chronic pain associated with athletic injuries. While yoga was instrumental in improving her health, she found the meditative practice crucial for transformation and progress towards personal healing. With a deep desire to share with others, Emily began training with David Magone and has completed 100-hour certification in PranaVayu Yoga and will complete 200 hours this spring.
Emily found everything important to her and her practice in PranaVayu--specialized vinyasa sequencing, a unique system of skeletal alignment principles, meditative practices, and a Buddhist-inspired philosophy. She continues to practice and study meditation and has completed Yantra Yoga training with Lama Migmar Tseten, Buddhist Chaplain of Harvard University. She is also working on a Master’s degree in government.
